Packing list

2 pairs of shorts or capris (no short shorts)

2-3 pairs of lightweight pants, jeans, or Dockers
(Tropic weight pants that zip off into shorts are nice to bring if you have them)

4-5 t-shirts
underwear and socks
sweatshirt or light jacket (you might want to wear this on the flight down)
some type of rainwear (umbrellas work well or ponchos)
Comfortable walking shoes or sandals (you will most likely want quick drying sneakers as well as sandles/flip flops - keen sandals work well)
work boots (can be purchased here and we have some available to borrow)
Swim suit (if you want to swim in the cold river - some people just jump in with their clothing)
outfit for church if you will be here on a Sunday and plan to attend a local church (casual, but something clean)
hat and sunglasses
Work gloves if doing construction
personal items - medications, feminine hygiene products, sunscreen, Imodium, Pepto-Bismol, Benedryl, etc
journal, pen, Bible
camera (if desired)  - remember to have battery charged fully or bring extra batteries, also have plenty of memory for photos/videos
some granola bars (if desired)
Purell wipes (can be purchased in bulk at Sams Club)

passport (along with a copy packed away from your passport)

cash for food, exit tax, etc. (nothing bigger than a $20, smaller bills are better, $250 construction fee, $41 exit tax)
stateside personal checks (you can cash a check for a small fee at the hospital)

Flashlight with extra batteries

Refillable Water Bottle (Nalgene bottles work well)

Extra pair of prescription glasses and/or contact lens products if needed

insect spray (lemon eucalyptus spray is non Deet and works well for biting flies)

Craft items/ balls/ vbs items/ acrylic paints or whatever materials that will help with ministry the team will be doing
